Topic: Walking Our Talk: Integrating Heart and Operations in Retreat Center Leadership
We'd love for you to join us for an upcoming online Community Call: Walking Our Talk: Integrating Heart and Operations in Retreat Center Leadership
Retreat centers aren't quite like other organizations. We can draw on tools from the nonprofit, hospitality and business worlds, but we're something else again. We are built on a vision bigger than ourselves. This may be a particular faith or lineage, or it may be a land-based love, or a deep commitment to human growth.
The question of this community call is this: how do we integrate that faith, wisdom tradition, or sense of something greater, into the actual day-to-day running of our organizations, in a way that strengthens our accountability and ability to serve?
If we teach sustainability, we also need to model and practice it. If we teach love, love should be woven into how our teams work. We need to walk our talk and draw on this deepest part of ourselves in how our centers run. But at the same time, we can't bypass the hard realities of accountability, finance and business. Whether you're wrestling with financial sustainability, trying to integrate your center's deeper purpose into daily operations, or just want to hear how other retreat center leaders are holding this same tension, we hope you'll join us.
