Topic: Retreat Trends and Insights: A comprehensive analysis of industry data presented by Retreat Guru

Serving +350 retreat centers worldwide, Retreat Guru exists to help people discover their own wisdom and foster a more compassionate world. Retreat Guru brings together their expertise to build software tools with a focus on participants experiencing a smooth retreat. From registration to check-out, Retreat Guru empowers retreat leaders to foster transformational growth.

In this upcoming online community call, Retreat Guru dives into data-driven insights from across the sector. Using aggregated data that protects the privacy of participating centers, Retreat Guru will present emerging trends, common challenges, and evolving directions in retreat programming and themes sourced from the RCC community.

This conversation offers a rare “big picture” view of what is unfolding across the retreat landscape, what’s working well, where centers are adapting, and how participant expectations are shifting. Together, we’ll reflect on what these insights mean for retreat leaders as they plan for the future, innovate responsibly, and continue to offer meaningful, transformative experiences in a changing world.

Cameron Wenaus:

As a visionary and entrepreneur, I have led Retreat Guru's growth and innovation, leveraging my skills in new business development, online marketing, and data mining. I have also established partnerships and collaborations with leading organizations in the field, such as Esalen, Holly Hock, and Spirit Rock. Additionally, I am a board member of the Psychedelic Association of Canada, working to provide access to psychedelics for all Canadians. I am also a co-founder and owner of Jam Factory Co-working, a fun-loving co-working space in Nelson, where I live with my family and dog Bodhi.

Alec Janssens:

I lead the sales and operations team at Retreat Guru, supporting hundreds of retreat centers in growing their businesses while remaining true to their mission and the experiences they offer their guests. Drawing on a background in technology business consulting, I help heart-led centers build effective technology and operational systems, enabling them to focus on what matters most: creating transformative, meaningful experiences for their retreat participants. I used to compete on the National Speed Skating Team, representing Canada on the world stage. I now live in Nelson, BC, with my loving wife, enjoying a balanced life grounded in the earth and heart.
