Topic: Starting a Retreat Centre — Risks, Realities, and Joys Along the Way
Join us for an honest and inspiring webinar on what it means to launch a place-based, land-centered retreat and learning space in the midst of economic uncertainty, global instability, political turmoil, ecological collapse, and collective exhaustion.
Starting a Retreat Centre today may be a response to this polycrisis. As such, stewards are facing far different challenges than those experienced by community builders in years past. In this webinar, we’ll explore the real tensions of trying to create something rooted, nourishing, and community-serving when resources are scarce and the stakes feel high—and why these spaces are not a luxury, but a lifeline.
This conversation is for organizers, facilitators, educators, social entrepreneurs, and community builders who feel the urgency of strengthening connection, resilience, and peace-building efforts and want to support new versions of this work, starting from the ground up. We’ll reflect together on what it looks like today, to build the kind of Retreat Centres that will sustain us into the future.
Want to listen in on the perspective of those who are chasing a dream that feels risky but deeply necessary to the world we’re living in? All are welcome to this conversation
